Women’s History Month Film Screening: Marianne
6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21
Kenworthy Performing Arts Center
“Marianne” follows seven Muslim women challenging bans on wearing hijabs, headscarves, face coverings, and abayas at school and in public. Their stories resonate globally, urging viewers to reevaluate liberty, feminism, and Western identity. Tickets are free for students with a valid ID and $10 for general admission. There will also be a catered reception and opportunity to win raffle prizes.

In honor of Farmworker’s Awareness Week, decorate bandanas with inspiring messages to be displayed and given to farmworker women who experienced violence in the fields. A light lunch and supplies provided. All are welcome.
Bandana Project Presentation and Display

Join U of I Women's Center and the FAW Planning Committee for the Bandana Project. Stop by to decorate a bandana and learn about this campaign raising awareness of workplace sexual violence against farmworker women.
Virginia Wolf Distinguished Service Awards

Each year, campus and local community members are recognized with the Virginia Wolf Award for their continuous dedication to activism for gender justice. Join us in a light reception to celebrate.
