Mentorship Program
The Athena Mentorship Program is an initiative to promote an inclusive and equitable climate for women working at University of Idaho. U of I employees who are Athena members, regardless of gender, are eligible to apply to be mentors and mentees.
Athena membership is required for the program. Membership dues are only $20 for the year.
The Athena Mentorship Program is a one-semester commitment:
- Monday, Nov. 18: Applications open online.
- Friday, Jan. 10, 2025: Applications close.
- End of January: Successful applicants notified
- Wednesday, Feb. 5: Program starts
- Feb. 5-26 and April 2-23: Two 4-week "intensives" with weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. in IRIC 305.
- Wednesday, Feb 5, through Friday, April 23: One-on-one mentor/mentee meetings every other week.
- TBD: Closing celebration (date, time and location to be determined).
The Mentorship Program application will be open Monday, Nov. 18, to Friday, Jan. 10.
20 participants will be selected (five staff pairings and five faculty pairings).
