Institutional Review
Annual Program Review (APR) provides the University of Idaho a system to evaluate assessment and improvement of our co-curricular and student support programs. The workspace for this process is housed in the Anthology Compliance Assist product. The institutional review provides an annual opportunity to engage with co-curricular and student support programs in discussion and offers opportunity for feedback by appropriate constituencies to inform program and institutional effectiveness, evaluate resources and improve student success.
Institutional Review Process
The Provost’s Office reviews each program’s self-study responses to the CAS standards, along with the division review team’s rating, comment(s) and recommendations. For 2021-2022, the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives will conduct the reviews on behalf of the Provost’s Office. The Institutional Review is entered into Anthology Compliance Assist, under the Institutional Review tab for each program. The institutional review process includes the following for each self-study:
- General comments/feedback
- Reviewing and attaching the multiple-choice responses from the Division Review Team
- Referring and/or tracking priority recommendations requiring support, related to institutional mission fulfillment
Following the institutional review, programs will use all feedback received to develop an action plan.
Additionally, the Provost’s Office will provide an executive summary for the institution, compiling APR efforts and data, priority recommendations and selected improvements coming from the APR process.
