Protecting the Source: Protecting Drinking Water Wells

EVS0044

January 6, 2025

Many homeowners and landowners have never had to manage a water well or septic system. This is highly problematic, because mismanagement harms the environment and the health of the private owner. The video series, Protecting the Source, addresses that knowledge gap. The second in the series, “Protecting Drinking Water Wells,” covers the basics of protecting and managing a water well — how water wells work and basic maintenance strategies, including regular onsite inspections, the role location plays and periodic testing. The inclusion of additional resources, like lab-testing options, further ensure that you will know how to keep your water clean and healthy.
