CIS1192
December 31, 2011
Blazer Russet is an early maturing, high-yielding potato that produces oblong to long tubers with a medium-russet skin. Its name refers to its earliness — it blazes the way for a potato harvest. Based on three years of storage data collected at the University of Idaho's Kimberly Research and Extension Center, this five-page publication lists storage recommendations and discusses the potato's dormancy length, glucose/sucrose concentration, fry color, mottling tendency and Fusarium dry rot susceptibility.
