EHHS Student Ambassadors
The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences Ambassadors are a select group of students representing all departments within our college and assist the college in recruitment and retention of highly qualified students. Ambassadors have opportunities to develop communication and leadership skills, strengthen their professionalism and establish working relations with university faculty, students, staff and alumni. Ambassadors attend training, develop leadership skills and participate in College of Education, Health and Human Sciences recruitment, retention and promotional activities.
Serving as an Ambassador in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences is an honor and a privilege. Being an Ambassador requires 20-30 hours per semester. If accepted into the program, a minimum of one year and maximum of two years of service is expected. There is one academic credit offered for participation each semester.
Selection process:

Applicants submit a complete application and letter of interest.

Applications and letters will be reviewed by a committee.

After the application deadline each spring, a pool of applicants will be contacted for an interview.

Selected student ambassadors will be notified to register for the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences Ambassador course (1 credit) for fall semester.
Eligible applicants must:

✓ be full-time students in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences

✓ have and maintain a minimum UI GPA of 3.0
-
✓ have completed at least one semester at the University of Idaho
-
✓ be able to commit to one year of service
-
✓ be available and willing to regularly attend the scheduled class sessions

✓ be willing to participate in evening and weekend events
-
✓ commit to ambassador trainings and 20-30 hours of service per semester

✓ be highly motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, knowledgeable, and sincere in representing the University of Idaho College of Education, Health and Human Sciences

Classes are held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. and attendance is required.
