Proper addressing ensures timely delivery
Outgoing mail must be addressed properly, with a complete institutional return address and an index number barcode for metering. Mail not properly prepared will be returned to sender. Please assist us with the efficient processing of your mail by using the following formats for campus and USPS mail return addresses.

The street address must come first followed by the Mail Stop (MS) number.
When you receive mail with an incomplete address PLEASE notify the sender of your complete U of I mailing address to insure uninterrupted mail delivery.
The best way to avoid lost or miss-delivered packages is to use the address of 875 Perimeter Drive followed by your Mail Stop number. CMS staff will then scan and track the packages as they arrive on the dock allowing you to track your incoming packages with our internal tracking system (uidaho.sclintra.com/intraweb/campusmail). Packages are delivered the same day they are received unless they arrive after route begins, in which case they are delivered the next business day. Special consideration is given to late air and perishable packages.
