Bethany Martensis a proud Floridian who is excited to be serving Vandals as a career advisor. After her time teaching middle school English and History, Bethany spent over seven years as a religious studies instructor at State College of Florida before moving to Idaho. During her time in Higher Ed., she also taught human trafficking prevention for a national non-profit organization and ballet and modern movement for multiple dance studios.
Utilizing her education background in religious studies, Bethany takes pride in working with students of all cultures, worldviews and ideologies. As a current doctoral student in the Humanities herself, she understands the pressures and honor of being a student and is thrilled to help Vandal students and alumni identify their strengths and skills that can be developed into an exciting career that they love.
In her free time, Bethany enjoys taking ballet classes, playing the drums and piano and hanging out with her three kiddos. Though she misses her Florida beaches, Bethany has loved exploring the gorgeous outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with her family and friends.
