APA Accredited Doctoral Internship

University of Idaho Counseling and Mental Health Center's (CMHC) APA-accredited doctoral internship offers training, supervision and mentorship to facilitate the development of advanced skills and professional identity.

The program's training site is a busy university counseling center. Major training experiences include intervention (individual, group and couples counseling, crisis intervention), psychological testing and assessment, outreach and consultation to the university community and alcohol and drug assessment. Multicultural competence is an important value of the CMHC and is integrated into didactic and experiential training activities.
