Pioneer the future of health care education and research

University of Idaho's School of Health and Medical Professions (SHAMP) addresses the growing health care needs in Idaho and beyond. Here, you discover programs that foster future physicians, gerontologists, anatomists and educators, to shorten wait times, support generalists and specialists, and increase access to high-quality, patient-centered care across rural and urban communities. Join us to prepare for meaningful careers in medicine and ignite new changes in the field!

In addition to SHAMP, Vandal medicine includes the Idaho Office of Underserved and Rural Medical ResearchProject ECHO Idaho and North Idaho Area Health Education Center (NI-AHEC). These programs offer educational opportunities for research, outreach to rural and underserved communities and continuing education to future and current health care workers and K-12 educators. These coexist with the Vandal medical education graduate programs and bring a holistic approach to expanding healthcare education for Idaho.
