The Film & Television bachelor’s program at the University of Idaho offers a dynamic and immersive experience for aspiring filmmakers and content creators. As a Film & Television student, you’ll gain hands-on training with cutting-edge equipment and learn the art of storytelling, production management and video production. Unleash your creativity as you pitch innovative ideas and collaborate on engaging projects. Your experience in this program will prepare you for a variety of careers in cinema, television, video, content creation and media production.

Fast Facts
Students in the Film & Television program work closely with faculty to:
- Use professional media technologies, from our high-definition television studio to our digital video and audio editing bays to our selection of high-resolution cinema cameras.
- Learn screenwriting and story development.
- Develop specialized skills in areas such as directing, cinematography, editing, sound production and documentary production.
- Produce and direct creative projects with large cast and crew that can be showcased at our annual Kino Short Film Festival or other film festivals.
