Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing body for the culturally-based and multicultural sororities and fraternities at the University of Idaho. The council is currently comprised of four sororities and two fraternities. The MGC community is united by their purpose to increase awareness of their respective cultures, serve the U of I and Moscow communities and achieve academic excellence. The executive officers within MGC coordinate activities for all organizations and members to connect, including social events, fundraising, community service, and leadership development workshops.
MGC chapters are inclusive, you don’t need to identify with a specific cultural or racial identity to qualify for membership. Sororities and fraternities affiliated with MGC participate in a semi-formal recruitment process and identify new members throughout the year, engaging in a membership intake process semiannually.
MGC meetings are held bi-weekly. All chapter presidents (or a representative) are in attendance. Want to attend a meeting? Email us.
