Summer Design Workshop Open for Registration
May 19, 2022
MOSCOW, Idaho — Registration is open for Summer Design Days, a design workshop series hosted by University of Idaho’s College of Art and Architecture. This year’s program will feature both in-person and virtual workshops. Students may attend either.
High school and community college students across the state are invited to explore a wide range of art and design disciplines through hands-on projects in workshops led by the college’s faculty.
The in-person workshops will be June 22-25 at the Moscow U of I campus. Cost is $400 and includes instruction, lodging, meals and supplies. Students will be able to attend four workshops and spend three nights in university housing.
The virtual workshop will be June 23-24. Cost is $150 and includes two live online workshops.
“Summer Design Days is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring makers, creators and designers to explore the world of art and design with the guidance of our world-class faculty,” said Rebecca Cromwell, recruitment and retention coordinator for the College of Art and Architecture. “We’re excited to be able to offer the experience to students across the Gem State.”
Students select workshops in a variety of disciplines, including apparel, textiles and design, architecture, art and design, interior architecture and design, landscape architecture, and virtual technology and design.
The camp will follow COVID-19 protocols that are in place upon gathering. Students will be notified of any policies.
Registration for both workshops can be found online at https://www.uidaho.edu/caa/highschool-events/design-days and closes June 1.
