About
University of Idaho Extension supports the diverse needs of sheep and goat producers in Idaho through research and Extension activities. Research is conducted at the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station near Dubois and at the Nancy M. Cummings Research, Extension and Education Center near Salmon. Educational programs for adults and youth provide information about sheep and goat production and are offered statewide.
In 2017, sheep and goats contributed more than $42 million to Idaho’s economy with an inventory of more than 38,000 animals.
