4-H Scholarships

Owyhee County 4-H Events and Activity Scholarship
Funding for this scholarship is raised through the hard work of our youth and volunteers at the 4-H Food Booth at the Owyhee County Fair. This scholarship is available to Owyhee County 4-H members to attend 4-H events and activities such as conferences, camps, competitions and more.
The application (PDF) is due to our UI Extension office at least two weeks prior to the event/activity.
College Scholarship Application
Owyhee County 4-H is proud to offer college scholarships to graduating seniors and current college students. The funds for these scholarships are raised through the hard work of our youth and volunteers at the 4-H Food Booth at the Owyhee County Fair.
Please read through the application for specific instructions or call the office with any questions. The application (PDF) is due to our UI Extension office no later than April 15.
Taylor Sauer Owyhee County Fair Memorial Scholarship
Requirements:
- Must be a current year graduate
- Must have participated in a large animal livestock showing or judging in Owyhee County
- Must be a current member of a 4-H Livestock club or FFA and have taken a large animal project for at least three years
Please submit the following to our UI Extension office by Aug. 1:
- Completed application (pdf)
- One-page essay on “What showing my animal has taught me”
- Resume — include school activities and community service
- Letter of recommendation from a 4-H or FFA leader
