4-H Youth Development

4-H helps youth gain knowledge, develop life skills and form attitudes to become productive members of society. Research based programs give youth the hands-on, real world experience they need to become leaders.

Today's 4-H is for all youth between the ages of eight and 18 years. Kids between ages five and seven can join Cloverbuds, a non-competitive 4-H program.

  • Cloverbuds are not allowed to participate in large animal or shooting sports projects.

Members and volunteers must register through the 4H.ZSuite.org.

To pay enrollment fees online, please visit: Idaho Payport.

  • You may join anytime. However, to participate in the Elmore County Fair, you must be enrolled and have your fees paid by March 1.

There many 4-H clubs in Elmore County that focus on a wide range of projects, from woodworking to raising livestock. We have clubs in both Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry.

Elmore County 4-H members can choose from many projects. Please visit the UI Extension 4-H Youth Development projects website to learn about the options.
