Getting Ready
Getting Prepared
Whether you are attending a virtual or an in-person UIdaho Bound, keep the following things in mind as you get ready for UIdaho Bound.
Setting these up before the event will significantly speed up the advising and class registration process. These electronic accounts are your lifeline to the university. Simply follow the easy step-by-step account setup instructions.
Be sure to write down your username and password information. Keep it in a safe place and bring it to campus during the event. Please note that this is sensitive information, so don’t share it with anyone.
You can request your card have it mailed to you in three to five business days after the card is printed by selecting the “mail the card” option and entering your mailing address into the description field.
If you need any assistance with either of these please feel free to call 208-885-4357 or visit support.uidaho.edu. If possible, please have your V number (found on your acceptance letter) ready when reaching out for support.
Your acceptance letter lists the major we have on record for you. If your interests have changed or you need to make a correction, contact the Admissions Office at 208-885-6326 or admissions@uidaho.edu. This will ensure we can advise you properly during the event. If you are unsure about your major, explore U of I’s 120+ options using Degree Finder.
Visit the Housing and Residence Life and Fraternity & Sorority Life websites to learn about your wide range of on-campus living options. This will help you narrow down your choices during your visit.
Some students and families prefer to bring their laptops or tablets with them to UIdaho Bound to take care of web tasks (including class registration) at the event. Others prefer to use provided hardware (or their phones), and have a lighter load for long walks around campus. The choice is yours!
