Events
The LGBTQA Office sponsors a variety of programs throughout the year, including annual observances, educational programs, social events, speakers, film screenings and lunch discussions open to U of I students, faculty and staff, as well as interested community members.
Allies are welcomed and encouraged to attend any event.

A celebration and teaching of LGBTQA history coinciding with National Coming Out Day Oct. 11 - Transgender Awareness Week - November
Celebrates the lives of transgender people on campus with a week of programming concentrating on transgender issues. - World AIDS Day - December
An opportunity to unite worldwide in the fight against HIV, show support for those living with HIV and commemorate people who have died from AIDS-related illness. - National Day of Silence - April
Students across the country take some form of a vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBTQA bullying and harassment in schools. - Lavender Graduation - April
To celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of graduating LGBTQA and ally students.
