Natural Resources Enterprise Management: Stewardship

Conservation and preservation from multiple angles.

Professionals in the natural resource management business work to define and defend our natural environment — helping people enjoy recreation in the great outdoors, while keeping our natural areas pristine and protected.

As a student in the NREM Stewardship emphasis, you will explore the core principles of business entrepreneurship and natural resource conservation, use and improvement. You will take courses from a variety of disciplines, and you’ll develop a multifaceted approach to conservation and preservation. Your courses will cover a broad range of topics, from working with landowners to conserve heritage sites to creating budgets and managing personnel to planning wildlife habitat restoration efforts.
 
Upon completion of this program, you’ll be equipped to meet the growing demand for jobs in sustainability, land trusts, conservation organizations, land management groups, watershed restoration efforts, game management and environmental education.
