The OpEd Scholarship has assisted me tremendously as I was able to utilize it for two semesters of coursework, resulting in zero personal funds out-of-pocket. It has helped me complete the requirements for a Master of Education Degree (emphasis in educational leadership). Upon completion, I will be certified as a K-12 School Administrator.
The Educational Specialist Degree will arm me with a senior-level educational experience that will lead me in becoming a more well-rounded resource/asset for students. The Ed.S. combined with my teaching experiences, my M.Ed., my Career & Technical Education credentials, and my years of military service will allow me the opportunities to be that servant leader in a senior education billet. Upon completion, I will be certified as a Superintendent.
I am currently a Career & Technical Education Instructor at Sawtooth Middle School in Meridian, ID. My goals are to become a Principal and later become a Superintendent of a school district.
