Boise Graduation Event 2024

Saying Hello and Goodbye to Our Military and Veteran Family

On May 18, the Military and Veterans Services Office held a graduation party and social event for the Boise campus veteran graduates. While at the Cottonwood Grille, over beautiful hors d’oeuvres, we got to talk with our military and veteran affiliated students about their experiences at the University of Idaho Boise and what their future plans are. It was a wonderful time to connect with our students and personally hand them red, white and blue veteran honor cords for commencement and swag bags as congratulations.

This was also a great opportunity for veteran students to meet and network with each other. We heard from a student in the College of Law and a member of the Idaho Veteran Law Association that there is an interest in developing veteran related clubs and activities at the Boise campus. With that in mind, we intend to be more involved in the Boise campus by continuing to host graduation events and other activities for our military and veteran family. Our office will be providing more updates about veteran events located in Boise in our newsletters and potentially getting a Boise-based Vet Club started.

We were very excited to meet some of our Boise students and we look forward to continuing to work with our wonderful students in the near future.
