Diane Carter spent the better part of the 1990s planning and implementing sports marketing and public relations campaigns for the Motorcycle Division at American Suzuki Motor Corporation, where she was responsible for carrying out public relations campaigns to support the company's marketing objectives, promoting the company's national race teams, and conducting media training for race team members. She began teaching communication courses at Moreno Valley College in 2001 and joined the faculty at the University of Idaho in 2009. An avid bonsai enthusiast, knitter, international traveler, and keyboardist, Carter also enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two adult children.
