• Biblical Studies

Janice Capel Anderson received her bachelor's from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her doctorate from the University of Chicago.  Her teaching focuses on ethics and biblical studies. She received the University of Idaho Award for Teaching Excellence for 1994-95. Anderson’s research focuses on literary analysis of the gospels, feminist biblical criticism, and the history of biblical scholarship. In 1997 she received the Phi Kappa Phi/University of Idaho Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Award. Currently, Anderson is coordinator of the interdisciplinary religious studies minor.
