Christian Reed hails from Lake Stevens, WA where he began his coaching journey at 16 as a rehearsal accompanist for Lake Stevens High Schools production of "The Mikado" and accompanist for Lake Stevens High School.
While working on a classical voice education, he continued work as an accompanist for productions of "Anything Goes," "Annie Get Your Gun," "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" culminating in a senior recital of contemporary American and crossover with works by Ives, Bolcom, Carlisle Floyd, and Ricky Ian Gordon.
Since moving to Moscow in 2016, Christian has sung in five opera productions at the University of Idaho including "Albert Herring" and "Pirates of Penzance," one Inland Northwest Opera Production of "Carmen and the Bull" musical directed "Cabaret" and "Amélie" with the University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts, and accompanied numerous local ensembles.
Christian blends classical techniques with his experience and love of musical theatre styles to help his students sing and belt in a powerful and sustainable way. He is thankful for the privilege it is to make a living teaching and performing music.
