Distinction in International Service Award
The Distinction in International Service Award (DISA) was first awarded by the students and staff of the Martin Institute in 2011. It recognizes particularly noteworthy accomplishments of internationally-focused nongovernmental organizations based in the Pacific Northwest.
The specific criteria for the award shifts somewhat year-by-year as each year’s committee emphasizes certain aspects of an NGO’s efforts and/or approach under a broad umbrella of distinctive service abroad.
