Harbor Center Room Reservations and Event Planning
U of I Coeur d’Alene offers comfortable and functional meeting spaces for small groups and classes at the Harbor Center. Enjoy our modern amenities, video-conferencing capabilities, on-site tech support and river views!
The Harbor Center has conference and classroom spaces available to reserve for a fee. The information and policies below will help you understand the guidelines for using our facilities. See our descriptions below for options regarding room arrangement and technological capabilities.

Wireless Access
University of Idaho Office of Information Technology (OIT) is able to grant University of Idaho employees and students access to the AirVandalGold network via their NetID and password. Individuals outside the university can access the Vandal Guest wireless network at the Harbor Center. The guest password is posted at the Harbor Center reception desk.
Room Scheduling Priority Order
- University of Idaho academic courses
- University of Idaho non-academic programs
- Non-University of Idaho events and/or Community Organizations
Room Rates
Individuals or entities reserving Harbor Center rooms will be subject to the following rental fees. (Fees do not apply to academic courses). Once your reservation is confirmed, payment can be made through the Marketplace. To request an exception to room charges, please contact cdactr@uidaho.edu.

*Room reservations that fall outside of the normal operating hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be subject to the day rate plus the weekend/evening rate for the additional time requested. Weekend and evening requests must go through a review process to determine availability and staffing. See weekend/evening rates.
Requests for room reservations on a weekend are not guaranteed and must be reviewed by the center staff on a case-by-case basis to determine availability and staffing. Room rates for weekend reservations are below. Evening rates apply outside of normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. reservation times.

Requests for room reservations on a weekend are not guaranteed and must be reviewed by the center staff on a case-by-case basis to determine availability. These rates apply when the reservation is for UNIVERSITY USE ONLY and the event will be SELF-STAFFED. Please see expectations below. Room rates for weekend reservations are offered at half price for University Only Self-Staffed reservations.

UNIVERSITY ONLY SELF STAFFED RESERVATION POLICIES – U of I staff member is expected to complete the following duties under this type of reservation:
- Unlocking doors at start of event
- Locking doors at end of event
- Light cleaning after event
- Return room to original condition
- Turn off all electronics
- Self-Staffed for the entire length of the reservation
- Staff member MUST be present for the entirety of the event
Policies and Procedures
Room reservations can be made between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening requests must go through a review process to determine availability and staffing. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance. To make a reservation, please email cdactr@uidaho.edu or call 208-667-2588.
Requests for room reservations on a weekend are not guaranteed and must be reviewed by the center staff on a case-by-case basis to determine availability and staffing. Room rates for weekend reservations can be found on the Room Rates page. Evening rates apply when a reservation is outside normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rooms are not available for reservation during university holidays.
We ask that your reservation time includes the time needed by your group to set up and break down the room.
All spaces must be returned to the original condition:
- Furniture must be returned to the original layout.
- Technology must be turned off.
- Excess trash and food waste must be taken out. Trash receptacles are located on the south end of the parking lot.
- Lights must be turned off.
Furniture and appliances are not to be removed from the reserved space.
Any damage to facilities or need for additional cleaning will be assessed a fee and the group will be subject to possible loss of future reservation privileges.
Kitchen and common areas are not included in reservations of our conference rooms and classrooms. All events must be contained within the reserved meeting/event room. Vending machines can be found on the first floor.
All room reservations cancelled 24 hours or less from the start time of the event will be charged the full reservation fee.
Cancellations may be made by emailing cdactr@uidaho.edu or calling the Harbor Center front desk at 208-667-2588.
Under certain circumstances the cancellation fee will be forgiven. A written request to waive the cancellation fee must be received no more than two weeks following the date the event was scheduled. The request must be sent to cdactr@uidaho.edu.
University departments who fail to show or cancel the reserved space two times in a semester will no longer be able to reserve a room for the remainder of the semester and will be charged the non-cancellation fee.
